Action film "Confidential Assignment 2: International," starring actors Hyun Bin and Yoo Hai-jin, will hit local theaters next month, according to CJ ENM on Monday.
The film is a sequel to the 2017 film "Confidential Assignment," which told the story of a South Korean detective (played by Hyun Bin) and North Korean detective (played by Yoo) who go on an unofficial cooperative mission when a North Korean crime ring hides in South Korea. The film saw commercial success, garnering 7.81 million moviegoers.
"Confidential Assignment 2: International" will hit local theaters some time around the Chuseok harvest holidays. The sequel will also star Daniel Henney as Jack, an FBI agent, Jin Seon-kyu as the leader of a crime gang and Lim Yoon-a as Yoo's sister-in-law who develops a crush on Hyun Bin.
