South Korea’s auto exports in H1 rose 3.2% on year to total $24.35 billion, the largest in terms of value in 8 years thanks to robust demand for high value-added eco-friendly vehicles, SUVs and premium cars. Green car exports took up 30% of the total after adding 8.3%p from a year ago. Outbound shipments of automobiles increased 1.5% to 1,074,321 units, the biggest for a half-year result since the virus outbreak.
