aespa will attend the U.N. High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development on July 5, SM Entertainment said Friday.
The girl group will make an appearance in the opening session of the forum to deliver a speech under the title “Next Generation to the Next Level” and perform hit song “Next Level” (2021).
Since 2016, the forum has been held to discuss and review the U.N.’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, its Sustainable Development Goals and how each country has been committing to them.
This year, it will be held in-person at the U.N. headquarters in New York for the first time since 2019 due to the pandemic.
aespa, which debuted in November 2020, is known for its metaverse concept and commercially successful songs like “Black Mamba” (2020), “Next Level” and “Savage" (2021), its first EP. The group has four members: Giselle, Karina, Ningning and Winter.
It will release the EP “Girls” on July 8.
