Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors manager Kim Sang-sik will take the helm of Team K League, a squad of the Korean league's best players that will take on Tottenham Hotspur in an exhibition game on July 13.

According to the K League on Thursday, Kim will act as manager with Suwon FC's Kim Do-kyun acting as assistant coach. The squad will have 24 players, two from each of the K League 1's 12 clubs.

The final announcement of the full 24-man squad will be made on July 7.

The Tottenham men's squad will fly to Korea in July to play two exhibition games and hold a series of events for fans, including offering a chance to meet the players and receive some football coaching.

Spurs will first take on Team K League on July 13 at Seoul World Cup Stadium in Mapo District. The London team will then face La Liga club Sevilla at Suwon World Cup Stadium in Suwon, Gyeonggi on July 16.

Sevilla also plans to tour Korea from July 8 to July 17, marking the club's first visit to the country. No other fixtures have been announced, but its possible that other games could be scheduled prior to the Tottenham match.

While the K League clash will offer an exciting chance for domestic football fans to see their favorite players face off against a top European club, the Tottenham vs. Sevilla match-up could also make for a good game for Korean fans. Both clubs finished fourth in their respective leagues this season, suggesting that they ought to be reasonably well matched.

While Tottenham brings the obvious appeal in the form of Korean national team captain and reigning Premier League Golden Boot recipient Son Heung-min, Sevilla also offers an interesting opportunity: The chance to see midfielder Erik Lamela reconnect with his old friends at Tottenham.

Tottenham will also wear their new 2022-23 season kit for the first time while in Korea.
