Meta, Seoul National University to jointly study XR, metaverse technology

Meta and Seoul National University (SNU) have launched a joint research center dubbed “XR Hub Korea” to study technologies pertaining to virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), as well as metaverse policies, the parent company of Facebook said on Wednesday. XR Hub Korea will carry out various researches in metaverse, data and privacy, and security. Meta will also open “XR Experience Center” at the SNU Central Library where people can directly experience metaverse technology while hosting startup competitions in metaverse technologies.
