Girl group aespa will be opening the upcoming “Good Morning America” summer concert series in the United States, SM Entertainment announced Tuesday.
This year’s summer concert organized by the ABC talk show will be held on July 8 at the Rumsey Playfield in New York’s Central Park.
Starting with aespa’s performance on July 8, OneRepublic will perform on July 15, followed by Megan Thee Stallion on Aug. 12, Demi Lovato on Aug. 19, Ozuna on Aug. 26 and Black Eyed Peas on Sept. 2.
SM Entertainment said aespa will perform “Next Level” (2021) “Savage” (2021) and the girls’ first English single, “Life’s Too Short” (2022). During the concert, aespa will also premiere the title track “Girls” of its upcoming second EP, which is scheduled to drop July 8.
The girls are also planning to hold their first in-person fan meet on July 30 at the SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium in Songpa District, southern Seoul. Early ticket sales for fan club members start July 4. Regular tickets go on sale from July 6, both on Yes24.
The group recently wrapped up a showcase event in Los Angeles from June 26 to 27. They will fly to Yokohama, Japan, on July 8.
aespa, which debuted in November 2020, is known for its metaverse concept and commercially successful songs like “Black Mamba” (2020), “Next Level” and its first EP “Savage." The group has four members: Giselle, Karina, Ningning and Winter.
