Woori Card under South Korea’s Woori Financial Group has won green light by Indonesian financial regulator to buy the country’s installment finance company PT Batavia Prosperindo Finance, three months after it signed a stock purchase agreement in March. Woori Card plans to complete the acquisition in the third quarter before launching official entity which will become its second overseas subsidiary after TUTU Finance in Myanmar. PT Batavia Prosperindo Finance – founded in 1994 – is a mid-size enterprise with $92 million total asset and 1,100 employees engaged in installment finance and heavy equipment leasing.
