More than 7 out of 10 Korean companies operating in Vietnam plan to expand investment in the Southeast Asian market, showed Maeil Business Newspaper’s survey conducted on 268 firms through Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Maeil Business Newspaper held a global forum on Thursday to celebrate 30 years of trade between Korea and Vietnam. Bilateral trade topped $80 billion in 2021. The annual trade value is projected to reach $100 billion in 2022, with Korea’s direct investment in Vietnam accumulating $100 billion as well.
