Veteran singer Yim Jae-beum is making a comeback after seven years.

His label Blue Seed Company announced Friday that Yim will be releasing his seventh full-length album “Seven” before the end of this year. Prior to the release, Yim will release one of the songs on the album as a digital single. Titled “Consolation,” the song will be released at 6 p.m. on June 16.

The label also released a teaser image of the song, featuring Yim leaning against a white wall. He still has his signature beard, and his hair seems to have gone more grey.

The teaser images show the name of the album, “Seven,” at the top and explains that “Yim Jae-beum’s ‘Consolation’” will be introduced on June 16.

"He will release several more songs before fully dropping his album."

He celebrated the 30th anniversary of his debut with a concert titled “After The Sunset: White Night.” Korea’s pre-eminent rock singer started his music career as the main vocalist of Sinawe, a heavy metal band that debuted in 1982. Yim also worked with other bands over the years before he released numerous solo albums. He had also starred in the competitive singing show, “I Am a Singer” (2011-15) and was the winner for two seasons before he announced his temporary departure in 2011. His song, “In Love,” was also nominated for best original soundtrack at the 2011 Mnet Asian Music Awards.
