The South Korean government will auction 12 trillion won ($10 billion) worth treasuries in 2, 3, 5, 10, 20, 30, and 50 years with nearly half or 6.5 trillion won worth in three to 10 years notes in June, reduced from May offering of 14.5 trillion won worth. It will buy back 2 trillion won before maturity to lessen payment burden due to concentrate maturities. The finance ministry will so 4 trillion won in short-term bond due payment within the year for temporary shortage in national coffers.
