Son Dong-woon of boy band Highlight will drop a solo EP next month.
According to his agency Around US Entertainment, Son is set to release his second EP titled “Happy Birthday” on June 6. It comes three years and two months after his last EP “Act 1: The Orchestra,” which was released just before he enlisted to serve his mandatory military service.
As the title implies, the EP will drop on Son’s 32nd birthday.
There are a total of five tracks on the EP, including lead track “Today’s Weather,” and others such as “Rainy Season,” “Letter” and “Moderato.” Son wrote the lyrics and arranged the melodies of all five songs.
Son debuted in 2009 as part of boy band Beast. The band changed its name to Highlight in 2016 after former members Jang Hyun-seung and Yong Jun-hyung dropped out of the band. The four current members are Yoon Du-jun, Yang Yo-seop, Lee Gi-kwang and Son Dong-woon.
