Egypt approves direct flights between Cairo and the Houthis-controlled Sana'a

Egypt has approved direct flights of Yemenia Airways between Cairo and the Houthis-controlled Sana'a as part of a UN-brokered two-month truce between the warring factions in Yemen. The first commercial flight took off on 16 May in six years from Sana'a airport to the Jordanian capital, Amman, after the truce went into effect on 02 April 2022.
