Girl group Le Sserafim has canceled two of its upcoming appearances, according to its agency Source Music on Friday.
On fan community Weverse, the agency posted an announcement, saying “Le Sserafim will not be performing on KBS2’s ‘Music Bank’ nor attending the video call event today.”
Source Music apologized to fans for the inconvenience and promised to reschedule the video call event to a different date. The event is a fan meet and greet via video call.
Le Sserafim was scheduled to perform on KBS’s “Music Bank” (1998-), which is a weekly music show that sees K-pop artists perform their latest songs. The artist with the highest-charting song wins a first-place trophy each week.
The sudden change in schedule follows allegations that group member Kim Ga-ram was a bully during her school days. While the claims surfaced before the group even debuted, they have been ramping up in recent weeks.
Source Music has continuously denied the allegations but when an alleged victim threatened to reveal evidence of the bullying, the agency released a statement on Thursday saying the alleged victim has been “using the situation to their own advantage” and it will make another statement on the issue later.
