K-pop powerhouse SM Entertainment is hosting 2022 SMile Music Festival to promote teenagers who aspire to be K-pop singers, the agency said Wednesday.
Chosen applicants will be showcased at the festival’s eighth edition which is set to be held in November.
Through June 6, the agency will accept applications from teams of between two to five people from the ages 14 to 19.
According to the festival’s website, the team must have already practiced together for at least five months and must specialize in dancing or singing.
Applicants must submit two videos via email which show them performing two songs of their choice.
Teams who are selected will be able to receive lessons from professional trainers and artists under SM from August to November. They will also be provided with a practice room.
After training, the teams will perform for an audience on Nov. 19, with costumes and makeup offered by the agency.
For more information, refer to the festival’s website, where application forms can also be downloaded.
