Actor Kim Sae-ron is under police investigation for drunk driving.
Seoul Gangnam Police Station said it received multiple reports around 8 a.m. Wednesday that a car driving in Chungdam-dong, southern Seoul was “swaying precariously” on the road.
Kim was stopped by police and failed a breathalyzer test. She then requested her blood be drawn for further analysis.
Police collected a blood sample from the actor, the results of which are expected in about seven days.
Kim is reported to have hit several guard rails and lampposts while driving. No one was hurt.
Kim debuted in 2009 through the film “A Brand New Life” and rose to popularity through “The Man From Nowhere” (2010), in which she co-starred with Won Bin. Her other notable works include films “A Girl at My Door” (2014), “Snowy Road” (2015) and television series “Secret Healer” (2016) on JTBC. She is expected to appear in SBS’s upcoming television series “Trolley" and Netflix Korea's original series “Hunting Dogs.”
