SK ecoplant eyes OP to at least double this year

SK ecoplant, the construction and engineering unit under SK Group eying Kospi listing next year, on Monday reported Q1 earnings based on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for the first time. with 46.2 billion won ($36.2 million) in operating income on sales of 1.27 trillion won, down 50.9% and 18.2% each from a year ago. Sales fell due to one-off cost from the completion of major projects at home and abroad, while operating income was affected by higher payrolls and raw materials prices. SK ecoplant targets 2022 revenue of more than 8 trillion won and operating income two to three times bigger than last year. Debt ratio came down from 662% in 2020-end to 362% in the end of March.
