Korea’s Fair Trade Commission has warned German automakers – Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, BMW, and Daimler – of punitive action for rigging emissions of diesel cars, according to industry sources on Thursday. The FTC has found the automakers allegedly met regularly and colluded with relation to exhaust gas reduction technology using urea solution. In July, European Commission had also fined the automakers 875 million euros ($975.6 million) for colluding to resist competition to restrict pollution from diesel cars.
