IMM Credit Solution together with Shinhan Financial Group will acquire Samsung Life Insurance shares previously owned by Lee Seo-hyun, a Samsung Group heirless who sold half of 3.46% stake in the insurance company last year to pay her share of tax on inheritance from her late father and Samsung Group chairman Lee Kun-hee. Some 3.5 million shares were sold via after-hours block trading at about 219 billion won ($182 million) in November. IMM Credit Solution plans to add the Samsung Life Insurance shares in its new long-term fund with maturity of 20-30 years and yield target of 12-15%.
