Beauty YouTuber Song Ji-ah, who rose to global fame due to her appearance on Netflix Korea’s dating reality show “Single’s Inferno,” said she’ll take legal measures against those spreading false allegations about her.

Earlier during the week, Song admitted to allegations that she wore fake designer clothing during the filming of the show. The YouTuber posted a handwritten apology on her Instagram account on Monday night. Song received more criticism because she had once said in one of her videos that she dreams of launching her own fashion brand.

“One of the responsibilities of a company is to help its creators acknowledge issues related to copyrights if she is unaware of the concept,” said her agency Hyowon CNC on Wednesday. “All of the criticism should fall on the management.”

However, the agency denied other rumors related to Song such as that she receives money from wealthy foreigners or that the agency provided her with an expensive apartment to create a luxurious image for her.

It warned it would take legal action against false rumors, malicious comments or abusive language toward Song.

Song runs her own YouTube channel “FreeZia” which she created in 2019. She has over 1.9 million subscribers.

The show “Single’s Inferno” featured 12 single men and women trying to find love on a deserted island. Concluding on Jan. 8, it became the first Korean reality show to enter Netflix's global Top 10 TV Shows chart.
