Korea Southern Power to build 800MW offshore wind power complex in waters off Incheon

Korea Southern Power Co. has agreed with global offshore wind leader Ørsted for multibillion-dollar expedition to develop an 800-megawatt offshore wind power complex in Incheon front. The offshore wind farm will supply power to 1.3 million households and help reduce 4 million tons of carbon dioxide annually, the company expects. Ørsted whose market capitalization stands at 55 trillion won ($46.1 billion) operates 7.6-gigawatt offshore wind power complex and accounts for 31% of global facility capacity.
