Actor Bae Doona again joins forces with director Jung Joo-ri for new film

Actor Bae Doona and director Jung Joo-ri of “A Girl at My Door” (2014) have joined forces again for the upcoming film “The Next So-hee,” according to production company Twin Plus Partners on Monday.
Bae will star in “The Next So-hee,” which recently started filming according to the company. The movie tells the story of a high-school girl named So-hee who starts training at a customer call center, and a detective who becomes suspicious of an incident So-hee is embroiled in.
Bae will play the lead role of the cool-headed detective.
Bae also portrayed the chief of the police substation in “A Girl at My Door,” which was Jung’s debut film and was invited to be screened at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival. “A Girl at My Door” won Best First Film at the 25th Stockholm International Film Festival and Best New Director at the 51st Baeksang Arts Awards among many other awards.
Bae originally debuted in 1998 as a fashion model, then as an actor through the 1999 KBS series “School.” She starred in “Cloud Atlas” (2012), "Jupiter Ascending” (2015), “Sense8” (2015-18) and most recently in Netflix Korea’s series “The Silent Sea” (2021).
