Methuselah, a 90-year-old plus Australian lungfish, the oldest fish in captivity in the U.S.
epa09684069 A 90-year-old plus, Australian lungfish, named Methuselah who lives at the Steinhart Aquarium at the California Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park in San Franicsco, California, USA, 13 January 2022. Methuselah is the oldest living fish in captivity in the United States which the Steinhart Aquarium acquried back in 1938. The primitive freshwater fish can breath on land and in water. Methuselah came to San Francisco on a steamship from Queensland, Australia in 1938 and details of acquring her are unknown, where she was was collected or who supplied her to the Aquarium.
