A bill mandating union representatives be seated on the boards of public companies passed the main floor of the National Assembly on Tuesday. The bill will give a stronger voice to labor at 131 public corporations starting in the second half of the year. Korea Electric Power Corp. (Kepco), Incheon Airport Corp., the Korea Deposit Insurance Corp. and the Korea Housing Finance Corp. will be covered by the law.
