Youngest of 5 Korean tiger siblings at Everland dies unexpectedly

The youngest of five tiger siblings, Kang San born by natural breeding in Everland in Korea died Saturday evening due to food blockage in the airway, according to the zoo operator in Korea. The cub moved sluggishly after he was fed beef at 5pm on the day of his death. The zookeeper performed CPR but was unable to revive the tiger. Dae-Yong Kim, a professor at Seoul National University’s Laboratory of Veterinary Pathology, confirmed that cause of death was shortness of breath due to acute airway obstruction during food consumption.
