Hyundai Motor to expand EV sales in U.S. to 40-50% of total sales by 2030

Hyundai Motor Co. is set to expand the share of its eco-friendly vehicles – EV and hybrid – to 40-50% of its total U.S. sales by 2030 after a 130% surge last year, Hyundai Motor’s North American regional head Hose Munoz told reporters during the CES 2022. The Korean auto giant has shown strength in the SUV sector and has improved brand awareness remarkably in the luxury car sector with Genesis with high growth potential, Munoz said, adding the company seeking to produce chips to cope with the ongoing automotive chip shortage.
