South Korean EV battery maker SK Innovation and Solid Power, all-solid-state battery cells producer from the U.S., discussed the direction of their collaboration on the development of next-generation batteries, including the all-solid-state battery, with an aim to improve energy density by over 30% using silicon anodes, at CES 2022 tradeshow in Las Vegas on Wednesday (local time). SK Innovation invested $30 million in Solid Power in October last year for the two’s partnership.
