Zigzag, launched in June 2015, is a mobile female apparel shopping platform popular for the collection of online shopping malls featuring customized recommendation services using AI technology. It was acquired by Korea’s platform giant Kakao and integrated with Kakao Style leveraging on the chap platform most Koreans use.

The cumulative GMV since its inception tops 3 trillion won, with 35 million downloads and 6,500 shops in operation. Its GMV increased 30 percent from 2020.

The company has become the first fashion platform with focus on clothes made by independent wholesale apparel designers in Korea to achieve 1 trillion won in GMV, the company said.

In 2022, Zigzag plans to broaden its categories, including beauty and living, to provide better services to users while helping sellers strengthen their customer targets.
