South Korean label Ader Error goes global with Spanish fashion powerhouse Zara

Ader Error has become the first South Korean fashion label to collaborate with global fast-fashion powerhouse Zara, riding on the rise of Korean contents and entertainers around the world.

Zara Retail Korea on Monday unveiled the AZ Collection, a new collaborative effort between Zara and Ader Error, at its online and offline stores in Korea.

The AZ Collection coined by combining the A of Ader and the Z of Zara features various ready-to-wear pieces decorated with AZ patches including puffer jackets, trainers, coats and jeans. The collection is selling out fast on raging response from Korean shoppers who lined up in front of Zara stores before opening and is set to launch in more than 10 countries including Spain, the U.S. and France.

Ader Error is the first Korean brand to team up with the Spanish apparel giant. The two have worked together in the past nine months on the project, which has received hot response from the Spanish headquarters for its creativity and innovation.

Launched in 2014 by an anonymous group of people, Ader Error has grown in popularity over the years at home and abroad for its deconstructed designs and major collaborations with global brands like Puma, Casetify, Camper and Maison Kitsuné.

Its collaboration with Paris-based Maison Kitsuné, in particular, which featured a variety of playful graphics fusing Maison Kitsuné’s iconic fox with Ader’s geometric logo and blue color, sold out in minutes. The Korean brand even had to introduce the “Blue Mark” to protect consumers from imitation products.

Ader Error will showcase the collaborative work with Zara at its flagship store in Gangnam, southern Seoul until Dec.14
