On the day of the opening ceremony of the Seoul Museum of Craft Art today, visitors are shown taking a look around the exhibitions. The Seoul Museum of Craft Art, Seoul’s first-ever municipal museum exclusively for crafts, is set to officially open its doors to the public on Tuesday. The museum originally pre-opened on July 16, but visits were limited to reservations on a small scale and were in line with Covid-19 social distancing regulations. “Information Building,” a new building that was not open previously, is now available to assist visitors with an information desk, gift shop and cafe. Currently, three permanent exhibitions featuring the history of crafts, embroidery and cloth are available to view. Additional special exhibitions will open at a later date and will center on lacquer, metal and textiles, Kim Soo-jung, director of the Seoul Museum of Craft Art said at a press conference today. The museum is just a one-minute walk from Exit 1 of Anguk Station on Subway Line 3 and admission is free. [YONHAP]
