Aftermath of heavy rains in Andhra Pradesh

For several days, authorities have been trying to drain the excess water with about 34,000 bags of sand and cement have been dumped to seal the water. Residents of 18 villages have been evacuated and nearly 100 villages in Ramchandrapuram, Chandragiri, and Tirupati are at risk of flooding.
