SK Energy under Korean refiner SK Innovation will run a pilot program of selling carbon neutral petroleum products for three months until February next year where consumers personally pay for greenhouse gas emissions treatment costs under the company’s Drive to Zero campaign. Carbon neutral petroleum products are 12 won per liter more expensive than general gasoline and diesel as they include carbon credit cost, but consumers will receive credit in SK Energy-exclusive membership Muffin points that can be used wholly for filling up gas.
