Leeum teases metaverse museum exhibition with digital Sutra gifted to Haein Temple

Hong Ra-hee, widow of Samsung Group Chairman Lee Kun-hee and former director of Leeum, Samsung Museum of Art, gifted a digital Heart Sutra to Haein Temple in Hapcheon during her recent visit with her son and Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Jay Y. Lee earlier this month. The digital version uses high-definition images of the original written by Chusa Kim Jeong-hui that is designated as national treasure and re-published into a book. This is one of exhibitions that will be presented at Leeum’s new, metaverse museum to be opened soon, where visitors can view artworks on a 3D space with VR devices.
