Kospi-listed SKC, chemical and tech material producing unit of Korean conglomerate SK Group, is taking up additional 800 shares worth $33 million in its UK-based investment unit to raise investment in next-generation anode materials technology. The purchase raises its share in SK NEX Investment, a joint venture to be set up by SKC and BNW Investment this month, to 80%. Following the fund injection, SK NEX Investment and its financial investor SJL Partners will set up SK NEX Holdings to invest $80 million in UK silicon anode technology industry Nexeon Limited.
