Good Choice to hire 200 or more new workers by offering generous incentives

South Korea’s hotel and travel booking platform Good Choice (GC) is out to steal away talents by offering industry’s top employment perks and incentives.

The platform announced a large-scale recruitment campaign ‘Travel with GC’ on Monday. It promised to give 40 million won ($343.3 million) sign-on bonus and 60 million won worth stock options to lead developers. More stock options and up to 300 million won worth incentives will be granted depending on their performance.

It will give a bonus of 30 million won to entry-level developers and various incentives to other workers in sales and marketing divisions.

It will hire 200 or more new employees for engineering, data and planning departments to advance existing businesses including accommodation, leisure activities and restaurant recommendation and strengthen new businesses including overseas travel.

As remote working becomes the norm amid the pandemic, it has decided to continue to allow all workers to work from home and maintain flexible working hours policy. “New employees will enjoy benefits of company-wide remote working, 4.5 day work week and English name calling which promotes mutual respect,” said Sohn Young-mi, the head of human resources team at GC.

The company will also provide workers with a two-week-long vacation every three years, award for long-service and 1 million won worth welfare points.

“We will strengthen human resource infrastructure through the large-scale hiring to provide enhanced services to customers,” said GC CEO Chung Myung-hoon.
