More Korean companies mandated to disclose environmental data next year

South Korea’s listed companies with total assets of 2 trillion won ($1.7 billion) or more will be mandated to disclose environmental information starting next year under the revised Environmental Technology and Industry Support Act passed during a cabinet meeting on Tuesday. The revision requires additional 101 companies, on top of the existing 1,740, to disclose their environmental data at the end of each year through the Env-Info System operated by the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute.
