South Korean full-service carrier Korean Air Lines Co. will resume flights from Korea to Hawaii on Nov. 3 after 19 months of suspension due to the virus pandemic amid easing lockouts from progress in vaccination rates.

The route between Incheon, Korea and Honolulu, Hawaii will be operated three times a week, Korean Air Lines announced Wednesday.

The flight will depart from Incheon at 8:35 p.m. on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and return from Honolulu at 11:40 a.m. on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sunday.

Korean Air decided the resumption amid increasing vaccination and demand for travel to Hawaii, it said.

The number of outbound travelers to the resort island recently grew to above 1,000 from 200 range in January.
