The Embassy of Italy to Seoul and the Italian Institute of Culture will hold a contemporary art exhibition to introduce emerging, young Italian artists supported by Italian companies.

The show, titled “We Love Art: Vision and Creativity Made in Italy,” consists of eight artworks commissioned to “some of the most significant Italian ‘under 35’ artists” according to the embassy. The participating artists are Benni Bosetto, Giulia Genci, Tomaso de Luca, Lulu' Nuti, Amedeo Polazzo, Alice Ronchi, Giuseppe Saverio Ronchi and Namsal Siedlecki.

“This exhibition will show how art patronage by corporations act in Italy,” the Italian Institute of Culture wrote on its website. “Italy has a long tradition of art patronage. The most famous example of art patronage in world history is the Italian House of Medici, which turned Florence into the hub of Renaissance art by supporting art masters such as Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci.”

The companies supporting the eight artists are Fincantieri, Terna, ENI, Webuild, CDP Immobiliare, SNAM, TIM and Ansaldo, according to the institute.

The exhibition will be open to the public for free from Oct. 27 to Nov. 19 at High Street of Italia, a space for the introduction of Italian art and culture on Garosu-gil street in Gangnam district, southern Seoul. Then, the exhibition will travel to the city of Chongqing in China, New York, Mexico City, Cairo and then Berlin.
