Celltrion applied for approval from the European Medicines Agency (EMA) for its colorectal cancer treatment CT-P16, a biosimilar version of Avastin, on Oct. 8 (local time). The application is based on the company’s global clinical trials involving 689 patients at 164 sites in 21 countries, including Europe, South America, and Asia, and the latest submission aims for the full label approved for the original drug, including metastatic colorectal cancer and non-small cell lung cancer.
