Singer-actor Kim Se-jeong donated 20 million won to the Community Chest of Korea in hopes of helping people in need suffering as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Kim appeared in an advertisement last month for the organization without accepting payment to encourage public to donate.
“We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Kim for her donation,” Yang Ho-young, head of communication affairs for the Community Chest of Korea, said in a statement Tuesday. “We hope her contribution can have a positive influence on society to encourage more people to donate.”
Last year, Kim donated 10 million won to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association for the prevention of the spread of the Covid-19 and to the people in need.
Kim is preparing to star in “Company Blind Date,” the working title of a soon-to-be-released SBS drama series, with actor Ahn Hyo-seop.
