KT to buy 8.75 mn new shares of KT Studio Genie to strengthen content biz

KT Corp. will buy 8.75 million new shares of KT Studio Genie, its wholly-owned content business subsidiary, for 175 billion won ($148.4 million) to finance the capital to enhance media capability and original content production. It aims to release 20 dramas per year and obtain 1,000 intellectual properties by 2025.
