SK E&S to build hydrogen charging station and production facility at Yeosu harbor

SK E&S signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korean Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries on Tuesday to establish a hydrogen producing facility and charging station in a port in Yeosu, South Jeolla Province. The business agreement is a preemptive move to respond to the increasing demand for hydrogen fuel cell powered vessels which are 40 percent more energy efficient than conventional ships. The ministry will support the company’s plan to build hydrogen charging stations and blue hydrogen manufacturing facilities at major ports in the country.
