Hyundai Motor and Kia will jointly build EV charging station E-pit with more than 100 chargers at the public parking lot of Unseo Station, nearing Inchon International Airport by the first half of next year. The station will be installed with 6 super-speed charging units and 100 slow charging units (3kW), capable of automatically controlling the charging speed based on the car battery capacity and other conditions. The E-pit station will also allow users to charge EVs and pay at the same time. Separately, Kia will install an GPS-based taximeter app at the taxi model of its new Niro EV coming out next year in partnership with local digital transport payment system operator T-Money.
