Realmeter conducted a national survey of 2,019 people ages 18 and older on September 6-7 (The firm contacted 36,916 people of which 5.5% responded to the survey. People Power Party lawmaker Hong Joon-pyo beat former Democratic Party leader Lee Nak-yon and came in third supported by 15.6% of the respondents--the first time he attracted support in the double-digit figure. He managed to gain 7.5% more support than in the previous poll. More than 10% of the respondents continued to support Lee Nak-yon, who dropped to fourth place with 13.7%.

In a virtual race between the ruling and opposition party candidates, Yoon was the winner against all ruling party candidates, but he won by a smaller margin than in the poll two weeks ago.
