The Afghan nationals who arrived in South Korea on Thursday traveled to the National Human Resources Development Institute in Jincheon, North Chungcheong Province, where they are expected to receive six to eight weeks of training to help them settle in Korea.

They spent their first night in Korea at a temporary quarantine facility in Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province, before being transported to Jincheon.

A total of 377 Afghan nationals were admitted to the Jincheon facility. Roughly 61% of them, or 231, are minors, and 118 of those minors are children below the age of six.
