Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas From Aug. 17: Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas is launching a monthly wine subscription service that helps home drinkers, the number of which has recently been on the continuous rise, experience a wide range of wines selected by the hotel’s head sommelier. Two types of wines selected by head sommelier Yoo Seung-min, who has worked in the hotel industry for more than 20 years and won the “Best Sommelier in Asia” in 2019, will regularly be delivered to the service members’ residences once a month or can be picked up from the hotel. The subscription service requires members to complete and submit an application and participate in a quick survey that enables the hotel to learn about their wine preferences. Based on the customer’s preferred type of wine, sweetness level, acidity level, tannin content, and body of wine, the hotel will select the best wines tailored to the customer’s taste. The subscription service is available for a minimum of three months, and the monthly fee is set to 100,000 won ($86). A discount of five percent is applicable for a six-month subscription and of 10 percent for a 12-month subscription. Members of the service can enjoy corkage-free service when visiting buffet restaurant “Grand Kitchen” with the eligible wines and can also receive a 20 percent deduction for cakes at Grand Deli. The wine subscription service of Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas can be applied for and paid for at Grand Deli located on the ground floor of the hotel from August 17.
