Samsung Asset Management has become the first asset manager in South Korea with more than 300 trillion won ($259.6 billion) in assets under management (AUM). Samsung Asset Management had 293.3 trillion won in AUM as of August 6 and Samsung Active Asset Management 7.3 trillion won. Samsung Active Asset Management is its fully-owned subsidiary specialized in operating active equity funds.
