In recent years, competitive gaming, typically referred to as esports, has been rapidly growing in reach and popularity all around the world. This trend has affected people with disabilities as well.
Last month, the Korea JoongAng Daily visited the Yuseong Rehabilitation Center in Daejeon, a local community center for people with disabilities, which has been operating an esports program for those with developmental disabilities since September 2020.
Here, four attendees and their coach meet twice a week for KartRider class.
