French auto parts manufacturer Valeo that was considered a top contender in the race for Hanon Systems, world’s second-largest supplier of automotive thermal and energy management solutions, on Wednesday denied “having made an offer.” The No. 3 company was touted as a formidable contender for the Korean rival to solidify market position. Other contenders are Mahle of Germany and private equity funds The Carlyle Group and Bain Capital.
