One out of five restaurant owners in South Korea use food delivery apps as more people order takeout amid living-with-virus environment. The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs said Monday that the share of restaurants using food delivery apps reached 19.9 percent in 2020, up 8.7 percent from a year ago. Woowa Brothers, operator of the country’s top food delivery platform Baedal Minjok, saw its stand-alone revenue soar 95.2 percent year-over-year to 1.09 trillion won ($958 million), with operating and net figure returning to profit to 58.2 billion won and 21.4 billion won, respectively.
