Boy band Seventeen was certified Double Platinum by The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) for its Japanese EP "Hitorijanai (Not Alone)," after surpassing 500,000 copies sold in April.

Seventeen released "Hitorijanai (Not Alone)" on April 21 as the band's third Japanese EP. It included the title track of the same name as well as translated versions of its two Korean hits "Run to You" (2018) and "HOME;RUN" (2020).

"Hitorijanai (Not Alone)" is the band's second Double Platinum certification, following the band's second EP "Fallin' Flower" (2020). Seventeen's first EP "Happy Ending" (2019) was certified Gold.

The RIAJ certifies music releases based on their sales, including hardcopy CD purchases and online downloads. An album is given Gold certification for more than 100,000 copies sold, Platinum for 250,000, Double Platinum for 500,000 and Triple Platinum for 750,000. An album with over 1 million copies sold is given a Million certification.

"We thank all Carat [Seventeen fan club members] for their support," said Seventeen. "We will always try hard and stay modest so that we can become a band that you can all be proud of."
